Meet the Coopers
A Man who Believes that Every Man, Woman and Child Should be Treated Equally, and their Rights Should be Protected
Michael Cooper is a Pastor at The Church of I am. He believes strongly in the verse Ephesians 4:5, "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." He is dedicated to helping people grow in the Lord. He wishes to one-day plant Churches in places such as Belize, Israel, Africa, and the Philippines. It was March 12th, 2005, when Michael E. Cooper founded the Church of I Am. Today the Coopers are busy with family, church, work, and seminary. Cooper said he heard from God many times in his life and most clearly when he read Exodus 3:14. "There God said to Moses, 'I AM THAT I AM' - God is essentially saying that he is everything and everyone'" Cooper always quotes 2nd Corinthians 5:7 - "For we walk by faith, not by sight." This has been a faith walk and God has blessed the Church of I Am family and pastor Cooper encourages all people of every age, ethnicity, and gender to come and hang out with him and the members of the Church of I Am.
Proverbs 15:1 says, "Soft answer turns away wrath. Harsh word stirs up anger. That one scripture has not only saved my marriage, my relationships, and my job, it has taught me to listen more and be more effective. My oldest son Michael has given me more nuggets as a young man. Most fathers are know-it-alls and cannot receive from their children. I am more in tuned to today's society because of my youthful children. Michael II, is enrolled in at the University Missouri at Kansas, Meagan is enrolled at Baylor University and is soon to graduate. My middle daughter, Mallory is a professional model in Los Angeles, California. Because of their youthful ages, I have a window into the millennial society that better allows me to understand today's youth. A society that does not include all youth, is a decaying society. Our future is at stake if we do not stop and listen to our tattoo, nose piercing, belly button ring wearing youth which is a mirror of the baby boomers' 60 hippies we will soon fall behind in the tech age in Texas. The key to a productive government is to listen to all and make sure that we are inclusive of even our youth and not exclusive of all our baby boomers.
